How has mindfulness transformed me?

Mindfulness has changed my life by transforming the relationship I have with my thoughts. Before beginning the practice of moment to moment awareness, an inability to escape analysis defined my daily life. Every thought, experience, and interaction was subject to extreme scrutiny and dissection. I felt trapped in the prison of my own mind.
By practicing mindfulness of breath, body, and mind I am able to anchor myself into the now and simply observe, without dwelling on the past or planning for the future. I view each breath as an unique opportunity to practice acceptance and return home to the perfection of the present moment.
